We often receive the same question from our potential clients... "can you give us a great look please... one that suits our business and makes us look professional".
A brand is a name, sign, symbol, slogan or anything that is used to identify and distinguish a specific product, service or business. Your brand is your fingerprint - something personal and unique to you, yet it should be coherent with your line of work or the market place your products fit into.
After a meeting to discuss your business, we will start researching your market, position and target audience. We also look at your competitors branding to see how we can gain advantage. In some instances is is a good idea to check consumer's points of view on market leading brands in a chosen field, and also to get their perception of a new brand too.
After research we get creative and work up some ideas, two or three concepts is very typical. We present these to you the client. It's usually from that point, we can see a brand developing. We follow through further stages of design and proofing, eventually providing a full identity - one that can be used on signage, printing, website, presentations etc. Certain guidelines are provided, such as font and colour usage, so even in-house documents will adhere to the new business's image.
Remember, when you see a distinctive logo - one you like, there's a pretty strong chance it wasn't designed on the company's office PC...
